The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration and Loaloa have signed an agreement to integrate and activate the institution's massive digital archives into a single central platform.

Loaloa has been selected for the EuroHPC AI Factory Playground, giving the company access to Leonardo in Italy, one of Europe's most powerful supercomputers. For Loaloa, this is both a strong recognition and a practical boost to the company's AI development.

Loaloa has received support from Skerfur, a fund operated by Almannarómur, to integrate Icelandic language technology into the Loaloa platform. The project strengthens Loaloa's Archive Intelligence layer for Icelandic media: video, audio, images, documents and other digital assets.

Loaloa has joined NVIDIA Inception, a global program supporting companies working with artificial intelligence and advanced technology. For Loaloa, this is an important signal of quality and a strong foundation for continued technical development.

The Icelandic investment firm Ursus has invested in Loaloa. Alongside the investment, Heiðar Guðjónsson joined the company's board, strengthening Loaloa as it moves into its next stage of growth.

Loaloa has been accepted into AWS Activate and Microsoft for Startups. These programs provide access to technology, cloud infrastructure and expertise that matter when building a scalable software platform for large digital media archives.

Loaloa received a Sproti grant from the Icelandic Technology Development Fund to support continued development of the platform. The grant was an important milestone during the company’s build phase and gave the team room to develop the core product with focus and discipline.

Loaloa was selected for Startup Supernova by KLAK – Icelandic Startups. The accelerator was an important part of the company's early journey and helped the team sharpen the product, the market and the long-term vision.
